This was a lens I purchased just for testing purposes. It did not last long in my camera bag.

Obviously the 200-400mm is a great range in a wildlife lens and f5.6 isn't terrible for a zoom in that range. The lens was light weight. I can't say I felt overly confident in the build quality, lots of plastic and light weight. With the hood attached and at max zoom it was a beast of an awkward lens!

Image quality would get one through vacation alright. Small prints or for web use only. Not suitable for professional work. The lens was soft wide open and just rather awkward to use.
