THE MEGAPLEX

 The idea behind the Megaplex is to provide mass living arrangements that are preferred over space consuming housing additions.  By making mass living quarters that are more convenient and more luxurious than your standard housing edition it would encourage your average house buyer to instead invest or rent  more efficient living arrangements.

 Mass living arrangements could enhance our mass transit systems a convenience alone worth the investment. The savings in utilities could reduce our dependency on fossil fuels which has vast ecological benefits and reduces our need for foreign oil. The reclaiming of America’s open spaces, beautiful forests and vital wetlands is an absolute necessity for our own long term survival.

 This type of physical structure would also allow us to put in effect some of our already well designed technology such as solar panels. Roof top gardens which are shown to very effectively decrease cooling expenses, this could be a cheap and esthetically pleasing option for what would be a vast roof top. The ideas that could be implemented with such a design are limitless.

 A design like this could also be a haven for our creature comforts, convenience and entertainment. Imagine a housing arrangement that could be practically self-contained. Conveniences and luxuries such as on-site childcare, healthcare facilities, movie theatres, and restaurants the list goes on and on. This type of living would not only offer tremendous comfort luxuries but also more practical luxuries such as single parents being able to work within the complex.

 Potential for great business ventures are limitless as well. Businesses within the site would greatly benefit from the convenience of being within indoor walking distance of hundreds if not thousands of people.

 A design loosely based on the pentagon would greatly enjoy benefits of excellent structural integrity, pleasing aesthetics and likely the use of an outdoor courtyard designed in the middle of the complex. This courtyard could provide a very safe playground for children, outdoor recreation and even extended outdoor hours since lighting could easily be provided and the shape of the complex would provide protection from many weather conditions.
